Description
5 pathogens, 1 swab, result in 10 minutes. The SAFECARE antigen combo test detects SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV and Adenovirus from a single swab. Whether for self-testing at home or professional screening in the clinic – this CE-certified 5-in-1 rapid test delivers fast clarity for respiratory symptoms.
Why choose this antigen combo test?
- 5 pathogens at once – COVID-19, Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV and Adenovirus in one test
- Results in just 10 minutes – faster than most combo tests on the market
- Flexible sample collection – nasal swab (self-test), nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab (professional)
- High accuracy – sensitivity and specificity >96 % for all pathogens, validated against RT-PCR
- CE-certified – IVD medical device, approved for self-testing and professional use
- Trusted brand – SAFECARE by Clongene Biotech, one of the most widely used rapid test brands in Europe
When is the combo test useful?
Cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose – these symptoms can be caused by five different pathogens. The SAFECARE 5-in-1 combo test identifies the cause with a single swab. This enables targeted treatment and avoids unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions.
How the test works
Self-test (nasal swab)
- Insert the swab – insert the swab approximately 2.5 cm into one nostril and rotate 5 times along the inner wall.
- Second nostril – repeat the process with the same swab in the other nostril.
- Extract the sample – insert the swab into the extraction tube with buffer solution, rotate 8–10 times and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
- Attach the cap – press the dropper cap firmly onto the tube.
- Run the test – apply 3 drops of the solution into the specimen well(s).
- Read the result – read after 10 minutes. Do not interpret after 20 minutes.
Professional use
In addition to the anterior nasal swab, the test also supports nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs – ideal for use in medical practices, emergency departments and testing centers.
How to read your results
The test device displays results in separate test regions:
| Region | Display | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Flu A+B | C + A and/or B | Positive for Influenza A and/or B |
| COVID-19 | C + T | Positive for SARS-CoV-2 |
| RSV | C + T | Positive for Respiratory Syncytial Virus |
| ADV | C + T | Positive for Adenovirus |
| Control line(s) only | Negative – no pathogen detected | |
| No control line | Invalid – repeat with a new test kit | |
Note: Even a faint test line should be considered a positive result. Color intensity varies depending on the viral load in the sample.
Who is the SAFECARE combo test for?
- Individuals & families – rapid self-testing when cold or flu symptoms appear, especially during autumn and winter.
- Parents of young children – RSV and adenovirus are common causes of respiratory infections in children under 5.
- Medical practices & emergency departments – professional POC screening with three swab options for fast triage. Volume discounts available.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the SAFECARE combo test different from individual tests?
Instead of performing five separate tests, the SAFECARE 5-in-1 test screens for all relevant respiratory pathogens with a single swab. This is faster, more comfortable and more cost-effective – especially for children and in high-volume clinical settings.
How quickly do I get my result?
After just 10 minutes. This makes the SAFECARE combo test one of the fastest 5-in-1 respiratory tests available.
Which swab methods are supported?
For self-testing at home: anterior nasal swab. For professional use: additionally nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs. This makes the test particularly versatile for practices and clinics.
Can the test detect co-infections?
Yes. Each pathogen has its own dedicated test region. If you are infected with both Influenza A and RSV simultaneously, for example, both test lines will appear positive.
Are volume discounts available?
Yes. We offer tiered pricing for clinics, pharmacies and institutions. Contact us for a customized quote.
